Emily 'Emiru' Schunk began streaming League of Legends as a Diamond player to her tight-knit community in high school in 2015, and strong and skilled gameplay across all genres has become a bedrock of her viewer-first focus today.
As Emiru’s professional journey progressed, she expanded her gaming prowess and creative sensibility into contributions across all aspects of the industry.
She signed with esports organisation Cloud9 in 2020, and later joined One True King (OTK) as a creator – and eventual co-owner, in 2022 - to further influence industry growth in content creation at scale, participate in the group’s launch of hardware, software and agency businesses.
From 2023-25, she founded and hosts an industry-leading pop culture and anime podcast, Steak & Eggs. She's produced her own namesake Cosplay Contest for five years. She originated a variety, live show with a Fortune 100 brand as her production partner, and has done voice acting in game publishing. Emiru's contributions in gaming and entertainment are leading the charge as streamers continue to blur the lines between online and offline programming and evolving how creation is defined.
Her success hasn’t gone unnoticed. In 2022, she was nominated as Best League of Legends Streamer at the Streamer Awards and Breakout Streamer at the Streamy Awards – the same year she surpassed one million subscribers on Twitch. Today, she continues to grow a global audience as the most-watched woman on Twitch.
