Tzu-peng (Tiger) Huang’s passion for baseball was ignited by none other than his father. His father’s interest in Taiwanese professional baseball influenced him from a young age to start playing the game and he soon discovered he had a keen gift for the sport. When he was in the fourth grade, his parents put him in a special elementary school for baseball training, starting him on a new life adventure.
In high school, Tiger was chosen by Coach Chen to participate in the Guo Yuanzhi Baseball Training Camp and, thanks to his energy and understanding, he quickly rose to the top of the pack.
Despite injuring his pitching arm during the early stages of his career, this didn’t influence his performance. In fact, it allowed him to understand the need to protect himself and instead fired up his fighting spirit, leading Tiger to be chosen to pitch at the 2011 Pony League World Championships for Taiwan. The next year, he was chosen to pitch for the 2012 IBAF World Youth Championship.
