Acclaimed producer duo Flight Facilities re-emerged back into our consciousness last Friday with their brand new track, Stranded, plus an epic music video exploring struggle, loyalty and unconditional love.
The making of Stranded was an all-star affair, featuring collaborative vocals from NZ-born, LA-based sibling duo Broods, LA vocalist Saro and comedian and bandleader Reggie Watts.
In addition, Sydney’s Touch Sensitive, Warpaint’s Stella Mozgawa, pianist Piers Lane and composer Davide Rossi offer up their bass, drums, piano and strings skills, respectively, for the track, making the song a truly collaborative piece.
Flight Facilities say, “We started our (Flight Facilities) project almost 10 years ago, intent on collaborating with amazing artists. Given an opportunity, with 7 of the most talented musicians to ever cross our path, we wanted to bring something special to life. We hope you enjoy Stranded as much as we enjoyed making it.”
With recording undertaken between Red Bull Studios in LA and Auckland, among studios in London and Montana, take a look at some exclusive behind-the-scenes shots of the recording process.
