Emily 'Emiru' Schunk began streaming League of Legends in 2015 while still at high school, building a close-knit community around her skills as a Diamond-ranked player. What started as a passion for gaming soon grew into a career spanning streaming, cosplay and entertainment.
As her audience grew, so did her ambitions. Emiru joined esports organisation Cloud9 in 2020 before becoming a creator and later co-owner of One True King (OTK) in 2022. Alongside gaming, she made a name for herself through elaborate cosplay creations, live events and collaborations across the entertainment industry.
From gaming streams to cosplay success
Between 2023 and 2025, Emiru co-hosted the popular pop culture and anime podcast Steak & Eggs. She also established her own cosplay competition, the Emiru Cosplay Contest, bringing together creators to showcase their costumes and creativity. Her work has expanded into live entertainment, brand collaborations and video game voice acting.
Her growing influence has earned recognition across the industry. In 2022, she received nominations for Best League of Legends Streamer at The Streamer Awards and Breakout Streamer at the Streamy Awards, the same year she passed one million Twitch followers.

In December 2025, Emiru won Best Creative Arts Streamer at The Streamer Awards, recognising her contributions to cosplay and creative content. She was also named on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Games list for 2026, another milestone in a career that has taken her far beyond her League of Legends beginnings.
