Jackson Goldstone has seemingly been on the trail to mountain biking greatness since before he was in the first grade. Now, the young native of British Columbia mountain biking hotbed Sqaumish is a junior downhill world champion, but his bike-handling skills were first showcased to the world in 2010’s viral smash Jackson Run Bike to Kindergarten, which featured a tiny Jackson launching jumps, drops, spins and more on trails and the skate park on a balance bike on his way to school.
The incredible natural flair on two wheels was evident even at such a young age and in the ensuing years Jackson’s name became a byword for once-in-a-generation talent who could do it all, getting huge views for any new video he put out.
Finally old enough to strap on a number board and race the Junior class in the Mercedes-Benz UCI Downhill Mountain Bike World Cup during the 2021 season, Jackson boarded a plane for Europe and instantly became a victor in a hotly contested class, winning his second-ever World cup race in Les Gets, France. He then went on to win two more races on his way to securing the overall Junior World Cup title and topped it all off by winning the Junior World Championships gold medal to complete a clean sweep of junior racing titles in a rookie season to remember.
Jackson then became the youngest-ever winner of Red Bull Hardline in 2022 as he dominated the revamped course before enjoying a memorable 2023, as he ended the downhill season in second place in the overall UCI Mountain Bike World Cup standings.
A nasty crash at the first Red Bull Hardline Australia event in February 2024 left Jackson sidelined for the entire World Cup season after he suffered a torn ACL in the fall. But, he rebounded in incredible style at the very same event in Tasmania at the start of the 2025 season to take the win and announce to the downhill world that he's back and means business.
Jackson clinched his first World Cup Win of 2025 at the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Loudenvielle, France, securing his third Elite World Cup win overall, and he wasn't done there. He followed this win with consecutive wins in Leogang, Val di Sole, and La Thuile. After his win in La Thuile, Jackson tied Aaron Gwin for the most consecutive wins in the series with 4.
Continuing his winning ways, Jackson finished 2nd at the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup stop in Pal Arinsal, Andorra, and secured a historic victory at the 2025 UCI Downhill World Championships in Champéry, Switzerland. He took home the victory in the Men's Elite downhill final to dawn the rainbow jersey with a time of 2:54.153.
At the final stop on the World Cup circuit in Mont-Sainte-Anne, Jackson left everything he had on the track, taking home a first place victory with a time of 3:30.096. This win also secured Jackson as the overall UCI Downhill World Cup Champion, becoming the first rider in history to win five World Cup races and the UCI World Championship in the same season.
After missing the 2024 season due to injury, Jackson has come back stronger and better than ever to cement himself in downhill mountain bike history.
