Fresh from an eye-catching eighth-place finish at the High Diving World Cup in Fort Lauderdale, the 20-year-old will be one to watch when she begins her first season as a wildcard.
Simone, who was inspired to become an athlete by her two older brothers, jumped at the chance to compete at the Junior World Championships when her coach, Stephan Lapointe, told her the competition was coming to Montreal in 2022. She went on to secure gold from the 15m platform.
Describing herself as “funny, energetic and authentic”, Simone will be aiming to follow in the footsteps of fellow Canadians Lysanne Richard, Jessica Macaulay and her cliff diving hero, Molly Carlson, when she steps onto the 21m platform for the first time in France.
