If you’re hoping to achieve success in FUT 19's Division Rivals and Weekend League, a commanding midfield is of the highest priority. You’ll need to rely on those players to create goalscoring chances, protect the backline and burst down the wings at speed.
The likes of N’Golo Kanté, Luka Modrić and Kevin De Bruyne are often relied upon for these roles. But there are plenty of bargain midfielders at your disposal too, and they cater to every formation in the game. We’ve picked out ten of the best options you can acquire for under 5k coins on the FUT 19 transfer market.
1. Thomas Lemar (3.5k)
Atlético Madrid left-midfielder Lemar comes packed with excellent attacking attributes in FUT 19. In addition to his 84 acceleration and 86 sprint speed, the Frenchman enjoys a range of mid-high 80s attributes in dribbling and passing. His 2-star weak foot ability makes him slightly poor in front of goal, but get to the byline, and he’ll put in some excellent crosses. Expect to pay around 3-3.5k for Lemar on the FUT 19 transfer market.
2. Geoffrey Kondogbia (1.5k)
There are two variations of Kondogbia on the market, with the newest being his Central African Republic version. You’re only looking at around 1.5k to acquire the Valencia star, who excels most prominently in terms of his physical stats. His 91 strength makes him a formidable presence in the centre of midfield, as does his excellent tackling ability. He displays a few bonus attributes too, such as his 86 shot power and 82 ball control.
3. Jorginho (4.5k)
If you’re searching for a centre-mid with great passing abilities, look no further than Chelsea’s Jorginho. The Italian, who boasts an 84 overall rating in FUT 19, benefits primarily from his 89 short passing, 87 long passing and 87 vision attributes. He’s also an excellent dribbler, with his 85 ball control proving a notable highlight. Jorginho is a bargain at just 4.5k on the market, and that price can occasionally drop to around the 4k mark.
4. Danilo Pereira (1.5k)
Porto’s Danilo Pereira can often be acquired for under 1k, and does a fantastic job in central defensive midfield. His 89 strength, 84 interceptions and 84 standing tackle stats make him a perfect complement to any backline, while his high stamina and defensive work rates add to his proficiency at CDM. You won't get much else out of Pereira outside of his high short passing and composure stats, but the positives far outweigh the negatives.
5. Kingsley Coman (2.5k)
No guesses as to why Coman is such a top acquisition in FUT 19 – his immense pace. The Bayern Munich left midfielder boasts a massive 95 acceleration and 93 sprint speed in-game, making him a great starter or super sub out wide. He’s also fantastic at dribbling, with most stats in the mid-80s, while his passing and shooting attributes tend to hover around the high 70s. Five-star skill moves are included here too, all for the bargain price of just 2.5k coins.
6. Gelson Martins (1k)
On the right side of midfield, Atlético Madrid loanee Gelson Martins is an underrated gem. The Portuguese talent is another who sports outstanding pace, including 95 acceleration and 94 sprint speed. He’s also an incredible dribbler due to his 94 agility and 92 balance, and his five-star skill moves only add to his attacking prowess. You’ll get a lot of mileage out of Martins as a result of his 87 stamina, and the only weaknesses are his strength and defensive skills.
7. Jesse Lingard (1.5k)
Looking for a goalscoring CAM who doesn’t break the bank? This is probably the hardest position to accommodate with a quality bargain, but Jesse Lingard fits the bill. The Man Utd and England star feeds off his impressive dribbling skills to create attacking chances, and his quick acceleration allows him to get in behind opposition defences. Try sticking an Engine or Hawk chemistry style on Lingard to improve his attacking attributes even further.
8. Quincy Promes (3k)
Like the aforementioned Kondogbia, Quincy Promes is someone we highlighted as one of FIFA 19’s most overpowered players earlier in the year. The left midfielder is another who sports outstanding pace, including 89 acceleration and 91 sprint speed, as well as excellent dribbling abilities. The big difference with Promes compared to our other wide players is his goalscoring nature, with the Sevilla star displaying 86 finishing and 83 long shots stats.
9. Leon Goretzka (4.5k)
German midfielder Goretzka suits those in need of a balanced presence in the centre of the park. He’s competent enough to provide great defensive work due to his 83 interceptions and 79 standing tackle attributes, as well as sporting a reasonable 70 strength. But it’s his pace, dribbling and passing stats that impress the most, all hovering around the low-mid 80’s. In fact, all of Goretzka’s attributes are 60 or above, resulting in very few weaknesses.
10. Lucas Moura (1.5k)
The 86-rated Player of the Month version of Lucas is certainly his most popular to date, but unfortunately, it’s no longer available. His original 82-rated RM item is still a great option though, primarily due to its 94 acceleration and 90 sprint speed. The Spurs star is also incredible at dribbling, as evidenced by his massive 94 agility and 90 balance. He’s the perfect super sub for higher-rated teams, and only costs around 1.5k to acquire.
