McMorris Episode 8: A Season's End & A Wedding
In the season finale, the brothers will do anything to win a scavenger hunt – even get married.
It’s hard to believe. Season 1 of McMorris and McMorris is a wrap. All done. And the boys went out on a high note.
The 48 hour activity scavenger hunt created some of the best moments of the season, and some of the best screengrabs. Let’s do this.
WARNING: Spoilers ahead.
The boys were getting a little too laid back in Encinitas, and Fergie arrives on the scene to shake things up.
He comes up with one of the best ideas of this whole McMorris season – the 48 hour scavenger hunt activity list.
The list works like this – 4 levels of difficulty, different points for each, and a large, colour-coded, laminated list of activities. The loser has to get the opponents’ names tattooed on them.
The Hunt
Craig and Mikkel started off with a bang, taking out as many of the easy green activities as they could. Backflip off a sign, skitch behind a car, rollerblade demo, whatever they could find they were doing it fast.
Meanwhile, Mark and Fergie were taking their time, buying lunch and relaxing. They were focused on having a good time while doing some harder ones like getting a piercing, and collecting a live bird (which they named Jason Ford).
Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas
This is the point where the hunt started to really take off. With team Mikkel and Craig headed for Vegas, there was a real sense that anything could happen. This is also where they started to go off the rails. Mikkel heads into a piercing shop to pierce his ear and instead ends up with an eyebrow piercing.
They steal a busker named Wesley.
A young lady gives Craig her underwear.
...and Craig gets questioned by security after jumping into a hotel’s moat.
Mark and Fergie
They took a little longer in getting to Vegas, but Fergie and Mark weren’t too far behind. From spoon-fed at the drive-thru to the AK47 bullseye to the pantless mile, they were racking up points too.
Craig gets married
At this point Mark, Fergie and Mikkel are all doing their part to make sure they win the competition. But after watching this episode, no one can say that Craig McMorris isn’t a competitor. The most difficult challenge was probably to get married, and Craig was the only one who took it there.
If you ever want to get married, apparently the first step is to meet a “very bubbly” lady in the caricature booth. Second step is to find a Flower girl.
Craig said it best: “I had to take a step back and just look at what my life had become at this point, but when it’s all said and done...we gotta get this black...this is our everest.” McMorris and McMorris is basically just like Cheers or Friends: someone has to get married on the season finale.
Road Haircut
Usually when we say “don’t try this at home” it’s because they’re doing crazy jumps off of glaciers or other snowboarding related danger. In this case...Just please do not take scissors onto the highway. In fact, to be safe, don’t try any of the things Craig did in this episode at home.
Victory
An amazing end to the year, a huge victory for Craig and Mikkel, and Mark and Ferguson with the best tattoos of the season.
As Fergie said “Craig and I actually won in terms of our lives and reputations.” So in a way, everybody won.
Thanks for watching and hanging out with us and the McMorris brothers this season!
