With the Tokyo Games looming over the horizon and a global lockdown threatening the qualification circuit, we discover every facet of a professional skateboarder’s life from seeing his pro board being made to skatepark design, filming missions, injuries and airports on a high-octane rocket ride around the globe. Gustavo and his brother shred LA with Madars Apse and meet up with Jamie Foy at Street League in Arizona.

Gustavo and his brother Gabriel land in Los Angeles ahead of the huge Lake Havasu contest.
They rock up to Chevy Chase skatepark where they meet fellow European pro Vincent Milou who helps them find their orientation in the overwhelming conurbation and shake off some of that jet lag.
The infamous LA Courthouse ledges feel the heat from the trucks of both brothers and team-mate Madars Apse who links up with the duo as they prepare for the overland journey far into Arizona.
At Lake Havasu they meet up with Jamie Foy who as a veteran of such events shows his guests how to leverage a bit of leisure time on the water out of the relentless schedule of their lives.

Mundo Gustavo Episode 4: Barcelona

Episode four of Mundo Gustavo represented a relative change of pace for our globetrotting skate technician as he spent a weekend filming for an upcoming video for his clothing sponsor Ementa.
Filming new tricks at landmark spots like Parallel and Besos, Gustavo and brother Gabriel next roll up on MACBA with Guilherme Durand, Bruno Senra, Emilio Silva and Rapha Castilho in tow to kick it with Macbalife head honcho Alex Braza.
Gustavo quickly stops by with sensational skateboard artist Julien Deniau to buy some of his work before undertaking a little beachside mission. Then he scrambles to take a sketchy rickshaw ride back to the apartment terrace for dusk, where he demonstrates an impromptu Mediterranean rooftop snack hack.
Squeezing every ounce of juice from the time of his life, this is Gustavo’s world!

This is your opportunity to take a tour of Gustavo Ribeiro's private indoor skatepark.

The pace begins to quicken for Gustavo as he takes us for a tour of his private training facility in Amadora, Portugal, built by the master skate craftsman Francisco Lopez. Leticia Bufoni drops in for a session with the Ementa crew who hang out there.
With no time to chill, Gustavo is headed to Munich to take part in another master craftsman’s insane initiative: Andreas Schützenberger’s tilting skatepark project ‘The Maze’.
After wrapping ‘The Maze’ there's street footage to film. Gustavo never takes his foot off the gas and bids us farewell in yet another airport, with his thoughts turning to the summer and Tokyo.

Mundo Gustavo Episode 2: The Basque Country

For the second part of Gustavo’s adventure we meet him in the Basque Country en route to link up with his Spanish Red Bull team-mate Danny León and France’s man-of-the-moment Vincent Milou to rip it up around a part of the world with a skate culture so deep it is sometimes called Europe’s California.

How do you make a skateboard? Gustavo Ribeiro visits the Basque Country to see his pro board being made.

Gustavo passes through San Sebastian to visit Irun, where his board sponsor Jart manufacture his pro model in the robotically-assisted production centre HLC. We see his new board come off the production line and hang out with HLC owner Iban Iraola who shares how Gustavo’s progress has impacted upon him personally.
With his new boards under his wing, Gustavo experiences some of the world-famous Basque culture before turning toward home and a rendezvous with Leticia Bufoni.

Ride with skater Gustavo Ribeiro as he shows us his hometown of Lisbon, Portugal.

Gustavo’s inaugural episode of his eponymous show begins on the scorching streets of his home city of Lisbon. We are introduced not only to his sensationally supportive family, but some of the solid people who make up today’s Lisbon skate scene like Zenildo Guilherme, Bruno Senra, Emidio Silva and Thaynan Costa.
Swinging by Lisbon’s oldest skate shop Bana, Gustavo meets his first sponsor, owner José Marques who reveals something of Gustavo’s early promise and reflects on what his global skate status has done for the Portuguese skate scene.
After a quick check-out of the skatepark where he and brother Gabriel first learned the rudiments of board control at the foot of the mighty Vasco Da Gama bridge, Gustavo explains where his hunger for success comes from and what his dreams for the year ahead are. The stage is set!
