We sat down with Mack Jones to learn about the 5 essentials for a winter RV shred trip:
1. Warm Clothes
We don’t just mean an extra sweater, we’re talking actual warm clothes: winter proof sleeping bag, down jacket, winter boots, long underwear galore, slippers for the RV, and 100 toques and pairs of gloves. You wouldn’t believe how many pairs get lost in every nook and cranny.
2. Filmer
Bring a friend to document your adventures! Every time you set out on the open road you’re bound to come across, incredible wildlife, beautiful scenery, and sometimes just downright funny situations… why not have someone there to capture these memories?
3. Positive attitude
When you spend a long time in such a small space, it’s best to have a group of friends that work well together. Everyone tends to bring something unique to the proverbial table - whether it be humour, technical savvy, or Chef Ramsey skills in the kitchen. Know your role!
4. Map
Yes, a real, physical map. You may have have forgotten those things actually exist, but when you’re out of cell service in the middle of nowhere, your GPS won’t be much help. A good old map will come always comes in handy so you don’t end up at the North Pole!
5. Shovels of all shapes and sizes
The terrain you come across on road trips doesn’t always provide a natural feature to ski, so channel your inner snow architect and create something unique! You’d be surprised what you can create with a little work.
