Red Bull Car Park Drift, the largest drifting competition does not shy away from spectacular performances, each filled with tire screeching, engine revving, smoke burning excitement. It is not easy feat to be a judge for a final, given the breathtaking performances as drifters face obstacles set by Abdo Feghali.

The Red Bull Car Park Drift Jamaica National Final is coming to Montego Bay on a second edition. The Catherine Hall Sports Complex will play host to the event on July 1st, where this year’s King of Drift will be crowned and will represent Jamaica in the World Final at Qatar.

How to participate?
  1. To participate, every drifting enthusiast must register here and provide all the requested information.
  2. The registration deadline is June 16th.
  3. Following the registration period, all participants will undergo a qualifying roundonJune 30th at Montego Bay's Catherine Hall Sports Complex.
  4. Ensure your car meets the eligibility criteria and complies with the safety requirements by reviewing the "Eligibility" sub-page. Scrutineering will also be conducted at the time of check-in to ensure compliance.
  5. 16 skilled drifters will be selected from the qualifiers to compete alongside the top 4 participants from our previous edition.
  6. On July 1st, the top performer will be crowned the King of Drift and will represent Jamaica in the World Final held in Qatar.

So, just what is drifting?
Dating back to the 1960s, drifting is said to have originated in Japan when a group of racers set out to beat their ‘A to B’ race times by exceeding the grip limit of their tyres when taking sharp corners. Obviously, it didn’t really help the racing times, but what started out as that turned into a different type of motorsport – and drifting was born!
When did Red Bull Car Park Drift come about?
The first-ever event took place in Beirut, Lebanon in 2008 at City Mall’s car park, with Michel Feghali crowned the competition’s very first King of Drift.
