Govana’s New Album hits the Street and its HOT!

In his debut album Govana collaborates with industry hit makers and producers to showcase his lyrical skills!
Dancehall music was given its first gift of the year with Govana’s early January release of his first album entitled “Humans And Monsters Are Not the Same”. The album is a the first release for the artiste from Spanish Town.
Govana who began his career in 2013 as Deablo was inspired to pursue a career in music after hearing a song by his mentor and fellow dancehall recording artist Aidonia. Following a name change in 2015, Govana’s career has consistently grown with hits such as Cups Up dominating the airwaves in 2019.
The 14 track album features a wide range of artistes including Taurrus Riley who’s track was produced by Chimney Records. “I wanted to do a song with Taurus and mi say it to Jordan and he said we can get it done and the next thing you know there I am with the legendary Taurus Riley it was an honor” said Govana before his impromptu performance with the artiste at his launch on January 8th.
“The fans should be prepared to see Govana like they never have before- there’s a gospel track, a song with Protoje and tracks like Mental Slavery that fans aren’t expecting, but also Govana in a way that they love. It’s an album for everyone and there’s at least one track you must love! Guaranteed”
The album also features the likes of Protoje, Dre Island and more and is produced with a long list of producers including Quantanium Records and more. The support from the dancehall community is overwhelming and songs like “Mental Slavery” showcases a softer side to the artiste as he speaks on social change and reform. The album also features his latest release "Up Front" which is trending on Youtube.
