La Bresse XCO Course Preview 2016

Join Gunn-Rita Dahle for a lap around the La Bresse track.

There's no respite for the cross-country riders of the UCI MTB World Cup with racing at La Bresse looming large just one week after the second round in Albstadt.
La Bresse was last used on the the World Cup circuit for XCO racing in 2012, and the course for the 2016 edition remains largely the same as it did then.
Get to know the 4.3km course by joining Gunn-Rita Dahle as she takes you for a lap in the video above.
The French course is characterised by one long major climb, which takes the riders right up into the hills that overlook the town of La Bresse itself. This is a steep climb and it includes asphalt and gravel sections, but on the way up it narrows into singletrack with roots and rocks aplenty.

There are small descents and climbs to contend with before the course reaches it highest point. From there it's all downhill to the finish line, but this is a twisty and technical descent that may catch a few riders out.
