"First Round, First Minute" ist ein wahres Routenmonster. Kletterlegende Chris Sharma schaffte die Erstbegehung der Route im spanischen Margalef im Jahr 2011. Seitdem gab es nur eine Wiederholung von Adam Ondra im Jahr 2014.
Weltweit gibt es nicht mehr als zehn bis 20 Routen im Grad 9b und nicht einmal zehn Kletterer weltweit, die diesen Grad schonmal geklettert haben.
Einer davon ist jetzt Alex Megos - der 22-jährige deutsche Shooting Star der internationalen Kletterszene schaffte nun "First Round, First Minute" nach nur fünf Tagen Vorbereitungszeit - vermutlich eine der schnellsten Begehungen einer Route im Grad 9b.

“First Round, First Minute” is a real route-monster! Climbing legend Chris Sharma was the first to ever complete the route in Spain’s Margalef in 2011. Since then only Adam Ondra repeated that success in 2014.
There are only 10 to 20 routes in the world with a level of difficulty of 9b and not even ten climbers worldwide have dared to climb routes that difficult.
Now young climbing phenomenon Alex Megos, the 22-year-old German shooting star, is one of them. Having completed “First Round, First Minute” after just five days of preparation, Megos might well have put down one of the fastest climb-throughs ever of a route that difficult.

One of the most memorable moments in my climbing career till now: "First Round, First Minute" - my first 9b! It took me five days to complete the route, although I already got to the last hard move on the first try of the third day. This was for sure one of my hardest accomplishments to date, pysically and mentally, but it was not my limit yet.
