We caught up with Ethan to talk Speedos, humiliating Mario Kappeli and of course snowboarding.
Ethan Morgan was born in Japan, raised as a child in the US before settling in Germany where he now lives. Ethan is so good at all aspects of snowboarding that this unusual upbringing could be the reason. He has the German precision on rails, the US confidence on kickers and the Japanese tech in the pipe. We caught up with Ethan to see what makes him tick.
Would you rather wear full snowboard outerwear in the Sahara or wear a pair of Speedos in the Artic?
Depends on how long I have to survive but rather the Speedos, I like wearing Speedos
Snowboarding would be better if? What
Snowboarding would be way better if the snow would be made of warm substance and we could all wear summer clothes in the backcountry and wouldn’t have to freeze and then all girls would look good in their ‘snow outfits’
Describe the worst time you ever had snowboarding
The season where I actually was that stupid and tried to qualify for the Olympics in Vancouver and missed it by 2 spots, wasted a whole season on that… lame…
If you were only allowed to do one trick for the rest of your days, what one trick would you choose?

You have been getting legit sections with park, backcountry and rails, what is your favourite thing to ride?
Classic question… I like to ride everything the same amount, I love to have variety depending on the time of the year I have my favourites (pre season street, mid season pow, spring time park)
You and Mario Käppeli just set up your own show, Ethan Vs Mario. How did that come about and what can we expect to see?
Well Mario and I are super good friends and wanted to make a website. It started off by calling it dumbkids.com, but we thought that was dumb and since we always hate on each other and make fun of each other all the time we decided to make edits and a website where we battle each other all the time. There are a lot of nasty and painful things to be expected it has been rough so far and might get even rougher haha.
Would you put yourself through pain or public humiliation, if you knew Mario would have to do the same?
There is no choice! The loser has to do whatever the winner says!
Would you rather stop showering or stop brushing your teeth?
For sure brushing teeth, I would just cheat super hard and eat a lot of good chewing gum haha.
You are known to get loose when you party, what is the craziest situation you have found yourself in?
Damn, where to start? Well last weekend I woke up in a home for retarded people and that is by far not the worst I have been through.
