The roster of 21 riders slated to compete is comprised of both pre-qualified and invited wild card athletes. There will also be five alternate riders, who will be called upon to compete if a rider is unable to attend the event.

How were the riders chosen?
The pre-qualified riders earned their right to compete in 2016 by finishing in the top 12 in last year’s Red Bull Rampage. The remaining nine riders who make up the wild card athletes were chosen by a Rampage Committee, consisting of pro riders Cam McCaul, Aaron Chase, Randy Spangler and Nico Vink, along with event organizer Todd Barber. They were invited based on the following criteria – past Rampage results, results from similar big bike events, proven skill on a big mountain bike and current video segments.
