On September 14, Red Bull Music Festival London came to its grand finale at the mighty Printworks under the curatorial mastermind of Aphex Twin. Staged at the head of the Press Hall's vast stage, his set – his first in the capital in two years – veered across two hours of vintage rave and cutting edge electronics, all against a mind-melting visuals spectacle from long term collaborator, Weirdcore.
Closing out the night, however, was an artist fast on the rise and handpicked by Richard D James himself: Afrodeutsche. The Manchester-based DJ and producer pushed the club into the early hours with a set that'll have your jaw slammed firmly onto the floor – through slamming acid, techno and her signature of dark and stormy electro. Put simply, it was a festival highlight. Listen in the player below to relive it all again.
Afrodeutsche returns to Printworks on December 21 alongside Robert Hood, Marcel Detmann b2b DJ Stingray and more.
