Whether it's charging down a downhill track, sending it alongside the planet's best freeriders or nailing tricks at dirt jumps and the BMX park, Kade Edwards really can do it all on a bike. The Brit has built a reputation as one of the best all-round bike handlers in the business, combining race-bred speed with an unmistakable style.

A long-standing passion for bike racing

Where does that two-wheeled talent come from? A lifelong obsession with riding. "I don't think I've ever spent a day off a bike since I was two years old. It's my life," he's said in the past.
It started with BMX, motorcycle trials and motocross, but eventually mountain bikes took over and Kade's been on the fast track to the top ever since.
His big break in downhill racing came in 2017, when he joined the Trek Factory Racing set-up as a junior rider alongside Rachel and Gee Atherton.
Quickly establishing himself as a leading junior contender, Kade claimed the sport's highest junior accolade, the UCI Junior Downhill World Championship title, the following year. It confirmed his status as one of the sport's hottest prospects and, when the Athertons moved on from Trek ahead of the 2019 season, Kade remained with the brand as he stepped up to the elite ranks.

Excelling in the elite class

Kade went on to establish himself in the elite ranks, scoring a number of top-20 World Cup finishes while also showcasing his versatility beyond traditional downhill racing. At Crankworx Innsbruck in 2022, he finished third in the Official European Whip-Off Championships.
The racing only tells half of his story, though. Kade has also made his mark on the freeride scene, raced Speed & Style at Crankworx and starred alongside Brandon Semenuk in the 2022 video project Parallel II.
In 2024, Kade entered a new chapter in his career, moving from Trek Factory Racing Downhill to Trek's C3 Project. The move gave him the opportunity to expand his focus across freeride competition, filming projects and other forms of riding, while still drawing on the speed and race experience that shaped his early career.
With an insatiable passion for riding bikes and a skillset that spans racing, freeride and everything in between, Kade continues to carve out a career as one of mountain biking's most versatile riders.
