Afro Nation festival debuts brand new music – listen first here
After a sellout success in Portugal this summer, the pioneering festival kicks off a series of original releases showcasing the best in Afrobeats-adjacent music.
Afro Nation Vol. 1 sees artists from across the full spectrum of Afrobeats come together on a collection of intercontinental collabs. The EP was put together via WhatsApp, with beats and feedback pinging back and forth between Ghana, London, Lagos and beyond.
Alongside highlights from Tanzanian icon Vanessa Mdee, Ghanaian rapper Medikal, Nigerian Afrobeats mainstay Ice Prince, and a host of others is this link-up from UK talents Eugy and Br3nya. The pair trade seductive verses, batting one another back and forth over a silky slice of Afro-pop.

More music is expected from the MOVES and Afro Nation camp in the new year, with a follow-up EP set to be written at the Ghana leg of the festival later this month. A third release will coincide with the recently-announced Puerto Rico instalment of the globe-spanning festival series.
