What is the Red Bull Soapbox Race?
Red Bull Soapbox Race is our wackily-wheeled world of crazy creativity, where teams of amateur drivers pool their creative talents to define the rules of street racing, and create their own homemade Soapbox car to race on a main stage. Hold on to your helmets!
The first Red Bull Soapbox Race was held in Belgium in 2000 and since then it’s spread around the world, with over 100 events being held globally.

When is the event and where is it held?
The UK race is going to be held at Alexandra Palace, London on Saturday 20th June 2026.

What time does the event start and finish?
Specific event times will be released in Spring 2026, however gates will open late morning/lunchtime with the event starting around 14:00.

How do I apply to take part?
All applications for Red Bull Soapbox Race have closed for 2026. You can still get tickets to spectate the wacky action here.

Will you be offering accessibility tickets for the event?
Accessibility tickets for the Red Bull Soapbox Race 2026 are now sold out, as they were limited to the space and facilities available.
If you’ve got a general admission ticket, there will still be support available on the day, you just won’t have access to the accessible viewing area. The Visitor Services team will be there to help, and you can contact them in advance at access@alexandrapalace.com or 020 8365 2121.
If you need a carer ticket, you can still buy a general ticket and get in touch with us to request one, just note these are limited and only available while tickets last.anymore.

Can I get a refund if I can’t go?
Once purchased tickets cannot be transferred, exchanged or refunded as per our ticketing terms and conditions.

Can I re-sell my ticket if I am no longer using it?
Our ticketing terms state that tickets cannot be resold after purchase. In the event of any resale, Red Bull cannot be held responsible for any losses and/or liability associated with tickets purchased via an auction site or any other medium that provides resold, duplicated and/or invalid tickets. This is solely the responsibility and risk of the parties involved in the re-sale exchange.
