We are also offering tickets for disabled persons within the same age brackets as above, and these are categorised as follows:
Disabled (Wheelchair Access): disabled persons who uses/require a wheelchair
Disabled (Accessible): disabled persons who are non-wheelchair users
Accessibility tickets are limited due to capacity restrictions of facilities (i.e. parking, viewing platform etc). If you require this ticket type we advise that you purchase as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
All disabled ticketholders will benefit from the following;
Carer Ticket
Any persons with a disabled ticket are eligible for free entry for their carer; this is limited to 1 carer per disabled ticketholder. Please make sure that this is purchased with your ticket so that we can identify them as your carer.
There will be parking available on site for disabled ticket holders; a vehicle permit will be required, and this will be provided prior to the event. This will be limited to 1 vehicle per disabled ticket due to limited space.
Gate Access
All disabled ticket holders will have priority access via a specific lane at one of the main gates to reduce queue times; more information will be provided in pre-event email.
Viewing Area
Disabled ticket holders will have access to their own viewing area, located in a prime position on course by the start ramp, directly in front of a 21sqm screen for easy viewing.
Wheelchair users will have access to a viewing platform to watch the show. This will be flat, and have an access ramp to give a comfortable viewing experience. It will be offset from the course (please refer to the location map to see position), however it will be raised by 1 metre so visibility won't be affected. The capacity is limited to 30 wheelchair users and their carer (max 60 persons).
Disabled accessible ticket-holders (non-wheelchair users) will have access to a viewing area in front of the viewing platform on the grass next to the course track. A small amount of seating will be available within the space for special cases when this is required, however please note that this is a standing event so please make sure that this meets your expectations when purchasing your ticket.
We would like to invite the families of disabled ticket-holders into the viewing area so you can experience the day together, however this will be dependent on capacity which is limited, as we must prioritise disabled ticket-holders first. We’ll be able to advise if this is possible closer to the event once ticket sales are well under way; information on this will be provided in your pre-event information email, which you’ll receive the week prior to the event.
