UK gamer DhTekKz wins big FIFA 18 tournament in Barcelona
Unknown British player DhTekKz wins FUT Champions Cup in Barcelona
It's been described as the biggest shock in FIFA esports. Donovan 'DhTekKz' Hunt, a previously unheralded player from Exeter, has come from nowhere to win the FUT Champions Cup in Barcelona.

In a nerveless performance, DhTekKz took the lead in the first leg after just one minute and 52 seconds through Messi, and was two up in under 10 minutes, R9 Ronaldo adding the second. Thierry Henry made it three just before half-time, but Nicolas99fc set up an exciting second leg with two goals in the second half.
However, that was as good as it got for the Argentine as DhTekKz scored five goals without reply in the first half of the second leg. Nicolas got one back in the second half, but another from Ronaldo made it 7-2 in the tie and 9-3 on aggregate.
After the match, DhTekKz said: “Honestly, I don’t know what to say. I came into the tournament expecting to do well, got some hard matchups, came through it and believed I could win."
Commentators Richard Buckley and Brandon Smith were amazed by the young man's performance. Richard Buckley said: "Has there ever been a bigger FIFA shock? I don’t think so. Over the course of the three days he was the most consistent player in the FUT Champions Cup. What a performance."
Brandon added: "It reminded us of when Gorilla jumped onto the scene – an English talent, fearless, raw, with natural ability."
As well as lifting the trophy and securing a spot at June's FIFA 18 Global Series Playoffs, DhTekKz won the $22,000 top prize.
