You don’t have to break the bank in PES 2020 in order to build for the future; a more expensive young striker isn’t automatically better than the cheaper one. The majority of player development in Konami’s football sim comes down to you: if you train these kids well, and give them plenty of gametime, they’ll often come good.
So, if you’re looking to prove you can win everything with kids in eFootball PES 2020, you’ve come to the right place. We’ve found 10 youngsters on the transfer market that are as cheap as chips; in total, you can snap up all of these budding superstars for less than £50m! Not too shabby, right? Nurture this lot and your club will be successful for many years to come.

Position: GK
Age: 20
Market Value: £1,800,000
Annual salary: £602,640
The Belgian-born Serbian keeper, Mile Svilar, is currently on Benfica’s books, but open to being teased away from Lisbon. At a measly £1.8m, why wouldn’t you bring him to your club? The 71-rated Svilar’s greatest strength is his GK Reflexes (86), although his GK Awareness (84) and his Jump (80) are close behind. At only 20-years-old, he has room to grow, so snap him up before someone else does.

Moussa Wagué

Position: RB
Age: 21
Market Value: £4,500,000
Annual salary: £1,075,950
Wagué is in a tough spot: whilst he’s a gifted young player plying his trade at Barcelona, he’s also behind the likes of Sergi Roberto and Nélson Semedo in the pecking order, so the chances of him breaking through are slim. He may only be 21, but he’s ready to slot into your starting XI if you’re looking for a right-fullback that can also play on the wing. With a 74 overall rating -- specialising in dribbling, acceleration and speed -- this Senegalese footballer is crying out for a proper run in a side. As he boasts the Leader Team Role effect, some of your players will get a boost for key matches, too, so what are you waiting for? Sign this lad up!

Position: RB
Age: 20
Market Value: £3,600,000
Annual salary: £650,880
Currently trying to catch the eye of Brendan Rodgers at Leicester, England under-21s player James Justin is a full-back with an abundance of potential. Like Wagué, he can play further up the pitch, but his preference is that of an attacking right-back, utilising his great speed and stamina. He’s also more than proficient with his weaker left foot, meaning he’s comfortable on the left, too. Let the others deem him “one to watch” while you can say that you were all in on JJ from the start.

Diogo Leite

Position: CB
Age: 20
Market Value: £4,500,000
Annual salary: £780,390
Leite was born and raised in Porto and joined the club’s academy at the age of nine, but it’s time for a change. Nab this 6ft 3” centre-half now for under £5m and you’ve got yourself a rock at the heart of defence for many years to come. With an overall rating of 73, Leite is a natural Leader, which will boost some players’ condition in big games. His Defensive Awareness (75) and Heading (76) stand out in his stats; he’s also not afraid to get stuck in, as his Physical Contact (75) shows. He’s also strong at LB, giving you options if you need to switch things up.

Position: DMF
Age: 20
Market Value: £4,050,000
Annual salary: £594,090
Things aren’t panning out for the Gheorghe Hagi Football Academy graduate at the AMEX Stadium, so swoop in now and stick the Romanian defensive midfielder in front of your back four. Tudor Băluță is a strong, no nonsense player that can snuff out aerial approaches with his Heading (81), but he’s also solid with the ball at his feet as his Low Pass (77) and Tight Possession (75) show. This lad isn’t purely a hatchet man and can easily be the bridge between defence and attack.

Igor Gomes

Position: AMF
Age: 20
Market Value: £1,350,000
Annual salary: £555,210
Boot up PES 2020 and sign this man right this very second. At his price tag and salary, he’s an absolute steal. Gomes, who currently plays for São Paulo in Brazil, is an attacking midfielder with fabulous Ball Control (76), and he’s so adept at Dribbling (75) that he can make most babies blush. One of his major skills is that he has a cracker of a shot from long range, and he’s only likely to add to that list: he’s recognised as a Youth Prospect in the game, which means he’ll master player skills faster than some others around his age. Getting the South American to sign on the dotted line is a complete no-brainer.

Pedro De la Vega

Position: LWF
Age: 18
Market Value: £9,000,000
Annual salary: £429,660
You've probably noticed that De la Vega is slightly pricier than most on this list, but that’s for good reason: at only 18 years of age, the 5ft 8” LWF is something special. He’s exceptionally versatile -- the Argentine teen is just as talented on the right or in the number 10 role -- and also possesses the same Team Role effect as Gomes, meaning he’ll advance at a quicker rate than some others. His speed and acceleration is where his quality lies, however, he has a cracker of a long-range shot on him, as well. In short, this starlet is worth every penny.

Alphonso Davies

Position: LWF
Age: 19
Market Value: £9,000,000
Annual salary: £1,145,610
Yep, another expensive winger. We couldn’t drop him from the list, though, because Alphonso Davies is even better than De la Vega. Rated 75 overall, the Bayern Munich LWF has outrageous Speed (94) and Acceleration (93), along with great balance, dribbling and tight possession stats. He’s also decent on his weaker foot, so he can play on the opposite wing. A very skilful player, Davies can cut behind and turn with ease, and he’s also able to perform some acrobatic finishes. Davies has 'star' written all over him; in fact, his Team Role effect is that he’s a Star Player, which should add a little more cash to your salary budget.

Lincoln

With the right opportunities, Lincoln could be a world-beater

Position: CF
Age: 19
Market Value: £4,500,000
Annual salary: £786,240
This goal poacher currently plays for Flamengo in Brazil, but he should be one of the first names on your team sheet, regardless of where you call home. Strong, quick, skilful: Lincoln is everything your opposition is going to hate about playing you. With an overall of 74, the 19-year-old has the ability to become a real world-beater with the right tutelage. Plus, like Davies, he has the Star Player role, so your club will make a little money, too. Signing him is frankly a no-brainer.

Alexander Isak

Position: CF
Age: 20
Market Value: £7,200,000
Annual salary: £748,890
Last but not least, this Swedish striker, who is also more than capable on the right wing, is the best natural finisher on this list. So if you’re looking for goals, then look no further. Although, he’s more than just a target man: Isak is talented with the ball at his feet, which is highlighted in his Dribbling (82) and Tight Possession (77) numbers. As well as a rising and first-time shot specialist, Isak is accurate from the penalty spot. He’s a complete striker that is sure to get better under your management.
