The best cosmetics from the Rainbow Six Siege Six Invitational Battle Pass
Mozzie has a moustache now
Getting into the spirit of Rainbow Six's biggest yearly event, the Six Invitational, Rainbow Six: Siege is bringing country-themed exclusive cosmetics alongside a new map Stadium in its newly released battle pass.
A first for the game, the Rainbow Six: Siege battle pass contains 31 new items in total; eight charms, nine weapon skins, seven headgear and seven uniforms. Of these, eight are available to everyone to unlock regardless of if you purchase the battle pass or not.
The main operators receiving some love and the chance to don casual sports gear in their home country’s colours are Caveira, Hibana, Thermite, Mozzie, Blitz and Sledge. Sledge, in particular, is the spoilt child of the group, receiving two whole new outfits and headgear. Reports that he hung around the Ubisoft offices, menacingly swinging his hammer back and forth close to expensive objects till he got his way, are at the present time completely unfounded.
Picking through the selection here are the best Rainbow Six Siege battle pass cosmetics to be excited by.
1. Competitor Caveira ’20 M12 Skin
With bold yellow and dashing green combined, Caveira’s M12 is made to look incredibly striking in her native Brazil’s memorable sporting strip. With such strong colours being almost reminiscent of citrus fruits, opening up a sneaky spawn peak hole with this weapon and getting a kill is sure to leave your opponents a bit sour.
Competitor Thermite ’20 Headgear
Normally never seen without a hard helmet of some kind, Thermite has decided to take it easy in the name of sport and join Ash as an operator who can chill in the best sunhats the FBI have to offer. It is not known if the cap provides adequate protection from the blinding light of your own flashbangs thrown clumsily through a Thermite hole as it does the sun.
S.I. 2020 Chevron Dark MPX Skin
Though Warden and Valkyrie are absent from donning their own 2020 sports gear (Warden was probably having difficulty finding a sport appropriate suit and tie) they can at least participate in spirit with this striking MPX weapon skin. In crisp metallic colours, it represents an understated yet colourful appeal that won’t stand out as a bad fashion match for Warden nor Valkyrie. Who knows, Warden might even be able to find a tie to pair with it perfectly someday.
Competitor Hibana ’20 Type-89 Skin
Working with the red and white colours of the Japanese flag has created this very crisp design for Hibana’s Type 89 rifle. As well as paying homage to the flag the design very neatly incorporates the curves and stripes most commonly associated with Japanese Kabuki outfits in a subtle fashion. Whether this means that Pulse is now disappointed he now won’t have exclusive access to Kabuki and Bushido themed gear is yet to be ascertained.
Competitor Blitz ’20 G52-Tactical Shield Skin
A shield skin is an important part of Blitz’s operator kit. The main time other players are going to see it is after they hear the unique Blitz train shuffle, inexorably coming closer without slowing down, fear already at maximum tension. When the shield is seen then its aim is to draw terrified eyes against their will straight into it for the perfect juicy flash and punch combo. With a strong ensemble of Germanic flag colours spread out in lines on a white background, it does just that whilst proudly displaying Blitz’ heritage. Perfect to get shot in the shoulders around and die instantly with.
Competitor Sledge ’20 Uniform
Seeing how fellow S.A.S operator Smoke recently got some elite skin love in the form of a zip-up hoodie, Sledge’s envy was stirred up but remained just too proud to go for the hoodie component in his very own zip-up jacket. Displaying the British colours but mainly focused on Scottish blue and white, it is a skin for Sledge players to wear either with ironic pride or open shame that it’s not a saltire.
Competitor Blitz ’20 Headgear
Though famous for being heavily armoured, charging at the frontlines into heavy fire, Blitz has decided here to discard his usual heavily reinforced helmet for a very casual beanie and headphone option. This brave choice has revealed a shocking truth to the Rainbow Six: Siege community; in that without a helmet Blitz looks an awful lot like Coldplay’s lead singer Chris Martin. It is not yet confirmed if they are one and the same.
Competitor Mozzie ’20 Headgear
Ever since Kaid rocked into Rainbow Six one thing has become evidently clear amongst the male members of the team; intense moustache envy. Not one to be outdone, Mozzie has decided to whip off his helmet to reveal that all this time he has been hiding his own magnificent lip mounting. To correctly trim it he re-positions all his captured drones in a semi-circle, achieving perfect 180 coverage of his face.
Signature Six ’20 Weapon Skin
If your favourite operator didn’t get any exclusive goodies this battle pass fear not, for all operators can make the most of this universal weapon skin. Available as the last reward for battle pass owners, it’s beautiful and bold metallic colour stripes look good adorned on any weapon.
Team Brazil 2020 Charm (and other countries)
At the Six Invitational 2020 a total of 20 players from Brazil will be competing, making a whopping 4 teams of only Brazilian Siege players. What better way to show support for such a strong region than by donning that country’s charm and wishing them luck in the competition ahead, maybe through gracing the side of Caveira’s weapons.
The countries of the other five operators receiving uniforms this patch are also represented, with charms representing the UK, Australia, Japan, USA and Germany. They’re all equally as shiny and jangly to drop on your weapon of choice.
