What a massive week it has been in the LEC. G2 have secured themselves a playoff spot despite having six more games to play, we saw a glimpse of the old Fnatic, who got themselves a 2-0, and every team is fighting harder than ever to try and get into the top six.
There were some particularly outstanding performances and dominant plays as usual, and this week, freelance League of Legends caster Dawoud 'Sandstorm' Dawoud has chosen the five players that made it into his LEC Team of the Week. Check out his selection below, and then pick your own team using our roster selector.

Top: Wunder (G2)

It was a tough choice for me when it came to player of the week in the top lane, but in the end Wunder was the clear choice. The pressure exerted by Wunder was forcing multiple oppositions to attempt to stop him, buying precious time for G2 to siege towers and secure objectives.
But the most notable thing about this week’s performance was his Jarvan, going up against a Kennen. In a lane which favours the latter, Wunder was able to adapt with a very cheeky setup going summon aery, and using the swag flag to keep his opponent at bay, only to start dunking and styling on them later on.
Overall, Wunder has been a very consistent and reliable laner, able to come up with incredible ways to adapt, improvise, and overcome anything thrown at him.

Jungle: Jankos (G2)

Jankos, the unsung hero, unleashed the fury of the spider queen this week as G2 Esports bounced back after their first loss of the LEC last week, with a dominating 2-0 week against FC Schalke 04 and Excel Esports.
His performance on Elise was something special, being at the right place at the right time to alleviate the pressure off of Caps in the mid lane, landing cocoon after cocoon in the bot lane, even beating a Yasuo in a 1v1, as well as saving his teammates in the top lane.
An all-round amazing performance from Jankos – he has shown up once more this week, helping G2 secure their playoff spot in the inaugural LEC Spring Split only six weeks in.

Mid: Caps (G2)

When people talk about the LEC right now, they talk about Caps. Despite being focused in the early stages of the game, nothing can stop this man from his job, killing absolutely everyone in sight.
Caps’ performance on Leblanc in the first game of the week against FC Schalke 04 was astonishing to say the least, roaming and making picks everywhere on the Rift, bursting down his enemies in a matter of seconds, followed by an incredible performance on Vladimir versus Excel Esports.
Following their first loss of the LEC last week, it was up to the man in the mid lane to boost the morale of his team, and he did not disappoint, pushing them further up the standings. Rocking a 5/2/7 on the Leblanc, and a 7/1/6 on the Vladimir, Caps is cementing himself as one of the best mid laners in the world.

ADC: Rekkles (Fnatic)

With Fnatic needing to win every single one of their games to keep their playoff hopes alive, all eyes were on Rekkles, and he did not disappoint. Straight out the gate, Rekkles kept up the pressure with the help of his trusty support to dominate the bot lane, and give Fnatic the confidence they needed to take down OG.
Even though Rekkles didn’t participate in many of the kills in the second game, he was farming sidelanes, securing plate after plate, tower after tower, and waited patiently for his moment, and when his moment came, he obliterated the Vitality lineup, giving Fnatic the 2-0 they so desperately needed to keep their playoff dreams alive.

Support: Hylissang (Fnatic)

Hylissang has always been one of my favorite supports to watch. His early aggression and rotations are second to none, and he showed up massively in this week's LEC games, channeling the true essence of a support by putting his life on the line for his team time and time again.
In their first game of the week against Origen, Hylissang was able to control the lane with the help of Broxah, bringing level 2 dives with the most unlikely jungler in Nocturne in the early game, making decisive picks in the early game to give Rekkles the chance to carry his team once again. In the second game on Rakan, he was able to land crucial knockups enabling his team to demolish Vitality, and get their 2-0 for this week.
