For Isack Hadjar, the road to Formula One took a defining turn in Monaco on May 22, 2021.
Yes, the Parisian driving talent might have been racing karts and then F4 since 2015, but that day Helmut Marko, Red Bull Racing's head of driver development, made him a golden proposition after a pole-victory-fastest lap triple in the Formula Regional race at the famed street circuit: join the Red Bull Junior Team, a battalion of young stars promised to the highest level of motor sports.
Isack wasted no time proving he was worthy of the opportunity. In his debut F3 season with Hitech GP, he turned heads with three victories, five additional podiums and finishing his debut season in fourth place in the series.
From there it was straight into the red-hot F2 series for 2023 with Hitech GP and Isack showed absolutely no trepidation as he quickly established himself as an F1 contender. He also ended the season with his first-ever laps in an F1 car, driving in FP1 for Visa Cash App RB at the Mexico Grand Prix.
Swapping teams to the Campos Racing crew for the 2024 season, Isack's trajectory has continued on the sharp upward curve of recent years, with big wins coming at classic Grand Prix venues including Imola, Spa-Francorchamps and Silverstone during the first half of the season.
What came next for Isack Hadjar on track? The seemingly inevitable reward that his trajectory demands; a seat driving for Visa Cash App Racing Bulls in 2025.
Isack Hadjar’s rise within VCARB in his rookie season was spectacular. An early standout was his drive to P6 at the legendary Monaco Grand Prix – finishing just behind Lewis Hamilton – which marked a major milestone in his journey.
To top that, he secured a first podium by finishing third at the Dutch Grand Prix. After qualifying fourth the day before, his career-best position on the grid, he held onto that spot with aplomb, before moving up to third when championship contender Lando Norris had to retire with an oil leak. The result gave Isack his first podium finish: “It feels a bit unreal,” he explained. “What was most surprising for me was keeping that fourth place for the whole race."
Just as he was continuing to prove his promise, Isack's promise was being rewarded - ahead of 2025's season finale in Abu Dhabi, Oracle Red Bull Racing announced that the young Frenchman would be moving across to take the other RB22 alongside Max Verstappen for 2026. "I feel ready to go to Oracle Red Bull Racing and I am happy and proud they feel the same," he commented. "It’s an awesome move, to work with the best and learn from Max is something I can’t wait for."
Cool under pressure and relentlessly quick, the young prodigy keeps proving he’s built for the tracks.
