Coming from the cuts of Curitiba, Brazil, where you can find him operating a driving school car, JP Souza is one of a kind. From his insane tech ledge skills to the amount of time it takes for him to get his ‘kit’ flawless before he starts the day, he's guaranteed to be out in the streets handling it with a positive attitude and always coming through with proper skating.

Tell us a little bit about yourself and where you come from. I grew up in Sao Jose Dos Campos. It´s like... one hour away from São Paulo. I started skateboarding there and then I moved to Curitiba when I was 14.
What about Brazil? Many people out there know the Brazilians kill it but, can you explain to us how difficult and rugged it actually is to skate there? Well it's really hard to skate over there because all of the product is really expensive and not the best quality. Plus there aren't a lot of parks and the spots are rough, so it's hard to have motivation to skate. When you come to a different place like the USA or Europe you appreciate it more and get more motivated!
What is your favourite thing about visiting Long Beach? I like to come to Long Beach because I have a lot friends over here! I like the vibe [in] that it's next to the beach and of course one of my favourite places to skate is Cherry Park. Best place to warm up and just kick it; all the homies just chilling – good times.

You were just out in Europe, how did you like it? Tell us about the trip. I love Europe. I was in Barcelona and Madrid. The best spots and best vibes – you’re always meeting new people. This time was so cool because we had a lot of friends out there and we would skate all day and then go out at night to celebrate the good times!
2015 is coming up, do you have any plans or things in mind for the coming year? The plan for 2015 is to skate a lot, try to film a lot and the most important thing: have fun doing it all.
Thanks for your time my Ninja! Any last words or shout outs? Yes, thanks for giving me this opportunity and thanks to everyone that I met along the way! All the homies worldwide and of course the companies helping me to keep doing what I love: Lakai, Chocolate, Thunder, Spitfire, Diamond, Grizzly, Happy Hour Shades and LB Skate.
