Daigo 'The Beast' Umehara is a true legend in Street Fighter. After discovering Street Fighter II at the age of 10, Daigo actually made his entrance into competitive gaming through Vampire Hunter in 1995, but it's playing various Street Fighter editions where's he’s made his name. He's had success in Street Fighter Alpha 3, Super Street Fighter II Turbo, Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike, Street Fighter IV, Super Street Fighter IV, Ultra Street Fighter IV and Street Fighter V, most recently playing as Ryu.

Daigo also has two Guinness World Records, one for 'Most Viewed Fighting Videogame' in a Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike match against the USA's Justin Wong in 2004, which amassed 5,632,211 views on YouTube by September 2016. The other is for his lifetime score of 2,187,714 in Ultra Street Fighter IV, the world record according to SRK.
