Let's say you've managed to earn a significant number of FIFA coins over the past few months. Now, you want to know how to spend them on packs as wisely as possible, giving you the best chance of scoring big with your purchases. You've come to the right place!
There are tens of packs you can buy in FIFA 18, with some proving much more effective than others. Before you go wasting your hard-earned money on a standard Gold Pack, take a look below for the top nine options you can find on the FUT 18 store, priced from low to high.
1. Bronze Pack (400 coins)
If you're one for trading tactically and making as many coins as possible, there's nothing better than the standard Bronze Pack. That might sound strange, but you can find all manner of bargains hidden within them, and the best bit is that they cost just 400 coins a pop. Don't expect to make quick profits or pack any worthy additions for your squad, but in time, patient traders will reap the rewards from these packs.
2. Silver Pack (2.5k coins)
In a similar fashion to the Bronze Pack, the Silver Pack is a low-cost way of making a profit on the market. You're ideally looking for rare gems with a high sell-on value, but you can also benefit from players who are currently wanted for active SBCs, increasing the amount bidders are willing to pay for them. The Silver Pack is a riskier alternative to the Bronze edition, but you can potentially earn a lot more from them if you're lucky.
3. Rare Gold Pack (25k coins)
You won't find this one available at all times, but it's a far better replacement for the standard Gold Pack when you can. The reason is simple – a single Rare Gold Pack contains 12 items, all of which carry the coveted rare branding. This naturally improves your odds of packing a high value player or consumable – and for just 25k, you won't have to break the bank in the process. This pack also features regularly in Squad Building Challenges.
4. Rare Electrum Players Pack (30k coins)
This Electrum Pack features a mix of both Gold and Silver items for your 30k coins or 600 FIFA Points. It's far better value than the Prime Gold Players pack as all 12 of them are guaranteed to be rare players, boosting your chances of packing anything from a Team of the Week candidate to an Icon. Although this pack rarely features in the store, it's the very best version of the Electrum Pack, offering improved odds over the Standard, Premium and Prime variants.
5. Mega Pack (35k coins)
One of FIFA 18's most popular packs, the Mega Pack offers a whopping 30 items amongst its list of contents. This is made up of at least 26 golds, with a mix of players and consumables making the cut. The big advantage here is that 18 of the 30 items are rare variants, making for a highly-inflated chance of packing something special. You'll often find Mega Packs on the store, so keep an eye out.
6. Rare Players Pack (50k coins)
The rewards really start ramping up at the 50k mark, with the Rare Players Pack featuring 12 players, all of which are both gold and rare. This naturally leads to some potentially outstanding acquisitions, but don't be under any assumptions – there are no guarantees you'll make a profit here. Packs of this cost (and higher) are truly for the risk-takers, but can also be earned through FUT 18's Squad Battles, FUT Champions and FUT Draft modes.
7. Rare Mega Pack (55k coins)
If you thought the Mega Pack was good, this takes it to the next level. The ratio of gold and silver items remains the same, with at least 26 golds featuring amongst a combination of player and consumable items. The big difference here, however, is that all 30 items in the pack are guaranteed to be of the rare variety. This pack appears much less frequently than its standard counterpart, so you'll need to stay vigilant.
8. Jumbo Rare Players Pack (100k coins)
If you're lucky enough to be in possession of over 100k coins (or 2k FIFA Points), the Jumbo Rare Players Pack offers a superb chance of grabbing a top-level star. It features 24 items, all of which are both gold and rare. This is a players-only pack, too, giving you an inflated chance of nabbing some of the best players in the game. Keep in mind, however, that 100k will also afford you some fantastic talent on the transfer market as an alternative.
9. Ultimate Pack (125k coins)
It doesn't get any better than this. FUT 18's Ultimate Pack builds on the Jumbo Rare Players Pack by upping the amount of items to 30, retaining an exclusive mix of gold, rare and player-only contents. At 125k or 2.5k FIFA Points, it's the most expensive pack on the market, and is only made available on special occasions. The only other way to obtain it is through Squad Battles (or an occasional SBC), but even then, you'll have to work your socks off!
