The series is designed to utilise the latest in video technology to showcase continuous flow from the world's best riders. Filmer Hadrien Picard told us more:
"This Lined Up project had been planned for quite while, but bad weather, clashing schedules, and a bad slam that Matthias took in California, made it feel like it was never going to happen.
"Eventually the stars aligned and we finally met on a beautiful French spring morning at this famous spot in Creteil, deep in the Paris suburbs.
"However, we soon discovered a few new problems in that there were people and kids running everywhere – it felt like we were invisible. Filming a long and complicated line like this combining a high level of both flatland and street riding was never going to be easy, but after two hours it was starting to feel impossible."
Picard continues: "We persisted, and when the spot finally became clear close to lunchtime Matthias knew that this had to be his moment. But after 30 tries he started to tell me he was still not sure he could pull it off on the day.
"The line was already difficult and Matthias’s mind was deep in ‘promotional mode’ for the Movie MILF that he recently featured in, but like the true champ that he is, he eventually pulled it! However, it wasn’t pulled as cleanly as he would have liked, so he decided to try it one more time. The mental barrier had been broken, and Matthias pulled the full line as smooth as butter!
"We were more than happy, and headed back into Paris for a late lunch on a terrace in Bastille, with of course a good baguette. We really are so very French!"
