Red Bull Racing's challenger for the 2019 Formula One championship, the RB15, has made it first foray on track, with Max Verstappen at the wheel for a shakedown test at Silverstone on Wednesday, UK time.
Verstappen drove 100 kilometres as Red Bull used one of its two permitted promotional days to give the RB15 its first laps ahead of the first four-day pre-season test of 2019, which takes place in Barcelona next week.
The Honda-powered RB15 sported a striking one-off livery for the shakedown, and an enthusiastic Verstappen took to social media afterwards to express his happiness with his first taste of the car.

"The day's done, the first few kilometres with the car," he said.
"After my first run I was smiling, very happy with how the car was behaving - plus the engine as well, very positive.
"It's a really nice group of people to work with as well."
The RB15 is Red Bull's first car using Honda power, after switching from long-time engine partner Renault at the end of last season. Verstappen will begin his third full season with the team, with Pierre Gasly stepping up from sister squad Toro Rosso to replace Daniel Ricciardo, who moved to Renault in the off-season.

"I just can't wait to get started now for Barcelona and start working towards Melbourne," Verstappen said.
"I think it was a very positive day, so I'm very happy about it."
