Ankit Panth is one of India’s most popular gaming athletes going by the alias ‘V3nom’.
Aside from his many stellar tournament performances with Team Brutality, he has also made a mark in the Counter-Strike scene as a role model and a fan favourite. He engages with fans on social media regularly and has also shared his tips for those who want to get better at Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
As part of his engagement with fans, he has been part of a few casual match-ups, a recent one being CS:GO Frag Out where he took on rising Indian cricket star Riyan Parag.
Riyan is one of India’s most promising cricket players. He is an all-rounder from Guwahati who was part of the Indian squad that won the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup in New Zealand. He has represented his state team and the Rajasthan Royals franchise in the league. In 2019, he scored a half century for Rajasthan Royals to become the youngest player to do so in the history of the league.
In CS:GO, Riyan goes by the name ‘V1be’. He has been an avid gamer and has said his passion for gaming has also helped with his cricket career.
When he took on Ankit’s team V3nom in CS:GO Frag Out in April 2020, Riyan’s Team V1be put up a strong fight over the best-of-5 matches. Eventually Team V3nom won 3-2 but Riyan was excited to have taken on some of India’s best gamers. "I learnt so many things. I learnt so many strategies that I can incorporate in my daily matchmaking,” Riyan had said.
Having practiced what he learnt, Riyan is ready to go for another round with CS:GO Frag Out 2.0, challenging Ankit’s Team V3nom once again.
