Red Bull BC One is the biggest one-on-one b-boy and b-girl competition in the world and the Australian cypher winners who'll jet off to the World Final in Japan will be decided in Brisbane.
What to expect at Red Bull BC One Cypher Australia
- Event: Red Bull BC One Cypher Australia returns on Sunday, August 24.
- Location: Brisbane Powerhouse (Google Maps).
- Format: One-on-one battle format. There will be two rounds for each battle lasting 30 seconds each. A special, three round battle will be used for each B-boy and B-girl final.
- Competitors: 16 B-boys and eight B-girls from across the country will compete at the Red Bull BC One Cypher Australia.
- Qualifiers: The day before the Red Bull BC One Cypher Brisbane, Saturday, August 23, at the Elements Collective Studio in Brisbane (Google Maps). Register here for interest.
- Music:DJ Naru.
- Hosts: B-Boy Fongo and B-boy Wongo.
- Entertainment: Beatboxer Tom Thum from Ipswich, as well as the founders of Base 8 Studio coming together with the music production duo Rush Hour (RSHR).
- Special Guest:Kid David (Step Up 5, Battle of the Year, Lemonade Mouth) who will bring his expertise from Venica Beach direct to the Brisbane stage.

Brisbane Powerhouse will come alive on Sunday, August 24 for Red Bull BC One Cypher Australia, as the nation's top b-boys and b-girls battle for the ultimate prize. This year marks the first time a Red Bull BC One National Final will be hosted in Brisbane.
Competitors will vie for the prestigious national breaking title and the chance to represent Australia on the world stage at the Red Bull BC One World Final in Tokyo, Japan on November 9, 2025.
Aspiring Breakers can sign up for the Red Bull BC One Cypher Brisbane the day before, Saturday, August 23, at Elements Collective Studio for a chance to compete at the National Final event.
Hosted by B-Boy Fongo and Wongo, this year’s National Final promises to be a high-energy showcase of breaking talent. The representing the best-of-the-best, 16 B-boys and eight B-girls will bring their A-game, delivering jaw-dropping power moves, intricate toprock steps, footwork, freezes and spectacular tricks.
This year's judging lineup includes international superstar, Kid David (Step Up 5, Battle of the Year, Lemonade Mouth) who will bring his expertise from Venica Beach direct to the Brisbane stage. Alongside local Brissie star, B-Girl Tinylocks and WA legend, B-Boy Pepito. Also showcasing at the event will be beatboxer Tom Thum from Ipswich, local Brisbane rapper Nerve, and DJ Naru from Melbourne.
