Red Bull Powerplay
Turf cricket reimagined!
Match format
- Every match of Red Bull Powerplay will be played in an enclosed artificial turf
- Each team is allowed to register a maximum of 10 players, however only eight players may bat, and eight players may field with two rolling substitutes who are permitted to field but not bowl
- All matches will consist of two innings of six overs each
- Straight nets (behind the bowler) are boundaries (4s and 6s)
- There will be an exclusive scoring zone – if the batsman hits the designated target, both the team and the individual will be awarded eight runs
Power Over
- Power Over is a unique feature of Red Bull Powerplay
- Each batting team will be allotted a Power Over, which they can choose to use any time during their innings
- Runs scored in the Power over will be counted double to the team’s score
