India’s first climbing world cup
A story in pictures
India hosted its first climbing world cup at Navi Mumbai recently, with Japanese participants stealing the show. The International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) 4th stage of the Bouldering World Cup Navi Mumbai 2016 was held at the Cidco Exhibition Centre in Vashi, with around 74 climbers including a majority of global participants. While no Indians ascended the podium, their efforts were commended by loud cheering from the spectators. The 5th stage of the Bouldering World Cup was held in Innsbruck, Austria.
