And while he is working hard to keep up his performances, he took a break to answer a few questions from fans and share some details about himself that had not been shared before.

KL Rahul answers Google questions about himself
The India opener sat down to answer some of the most common questions about him that fans have searched for answers to on the internet. From the curious to the absurd, the questions had him laughing in delight and scratching his head in surprise. He divulged personal information about his zodiac sign, family heritage and favourite tattoo (hint: it has to do with him being the 284th player to represent the Indian cricket team), and also shared how a love for other sports earned him a scolding from his younger cricket coach.
KL Rahul fills in the blanks
When put in front of the stumps, KL Rahul excels at finding the gaps between fielders. When asked to fill the gaps in his personal life, he did just as well. In a “Fill in the blanks” format, Rahul revealed which Bollywood actor he would like to play him in a biopic, which celebrity he has had a crush on, and who has been the most intimidating bowler he has faced on the pitch. The batsman also said he would want to switch lives with football star David Beckham if given a chance and that he would be playing any other sport if he wasn’t a professional cricketer.

Among the many things that the internet has given us, abbreviations are the greatest blessings and deepest curses at the same time. Deciphering text messages written in a mix of shorthand and emoji can sometimes feel like an attempt at understanding pig Latin. But KL Rahul was up to the challenge as he attempted to decipher and understand common expressions exchanged on the internet. In his effort to decode internet lingo, Rahul faced googlies that left him stumped but also knocked a few good deliveries clean out of the stadium.

The star batsman’s growing stature has shown as fans in stadiums and on social media have praised him for his performances. KL Rahul’s social media accounts have acted as convenient channels for teammates and fans to contact him, and also as a platform for Rahul to express how he feels. When shown some of the memes, jokes and situations that he has been a part of – knowingly and unknowingly – Rahul brightened up when he learnt that he was Preity Zinta’s reason to smile and that fans expect him to be to captain Virat Kohli what Sachin Tendulkar was to then-skipper Sourav Ganguly.
