Red Bull Kite Fight 2019 to take place in four cities in India. City qualifiers in Vadodara, Surat, Jaipur and Ahmedabad to be followed by a national final, where a champion will be crowned.

Red Bull Kite Fight returns for a fifth edition, giving kite flyers a chance to establish themselves as the best once again.
The only competition in India which givens kite flyers a chance to compete for sport will feature four city qualifiers followed by a national final. The last-man standing format of the competition filters down the best kite flyer in the country, thus ensuring that the champion is the in fact the best kite fighter in India.

Red Bull Kite Fight 2019 will take place in Vadodara, Surat, Jaipur and Ahmedabad. The qualifies from the four cities will then face off in a national final in Ahmedabad, where the best kite flyer will be named champion of Red Bull Kite Fight 2019.
Dates and locations of city qualifiers
- Vadodara: 5th Jan 2019 at Samta Society, near PDIL, Samta Char Rasta Santa, Vadodara
- Surat: 5th Jan 2019 at Navsarjan Appartments, Kailashnagar, Majuragate, Sangrampura
- Jaipur: 6th Jan 2019 at Suraj Maidan, Raja Park
- Ahmedabad: 13th Jan 2019 at Alpa Park Society, Bhairavnath, Behind Rajkamal society, Maninagar
The national final will be held in Alpa Park Society in Ahmedabad on 13th January, where the Red Bull Kite Fight 2019 champion will be announced.
Red Bull Kite Fight is held in the lead up to the traditional kite flying festival of Uttarayan, aka Makar Sankranti. The championship gives a competitive makeover to the traditional kite flying festival, giving enthusiasts around the country a chance to earn bragging rights by showing off their techniques and skills with kite and string.
Rules and regulations for Red Bull Kite Fight 2019
- Participants must be aged 16 or older.
- Each participant is given a set of five different types of kites.
- Participants must put up a kite within three minutes of their last kite being cut.
- Participants must carry their own threads. No competitive thread allowed.
- It is a survival event. Participants are eliminated once all their kites are cut. Kites may be cut by other participants, experts as well as those not in the competition.
- The top-three winners from each city qualifier will face each other in the national finals in Ahmedabad. The last-man-standing is crowned as the Red Bull Kite Fight Champion.
