The festival at the Alsisar Palace in the dunes of Rajasthan featured some incredible music and projections from 13th to 15th December 2019.
Magnetic Fields – the festival of contemporary music and arts – established itself as one of the must-visit destinations on India’s festival calendar with the 2019 edition.
The Red Bull North Stage continued to put up stellar artists at the festival for the fifth straight year.
Daniel Avery, Jameszoo, DJ Lag, Kamma & Masalo, Nazira, Chhabb, Rafiki, and Kaleekarma performed on the Red Bull North Stage at Magnetic Fields 2019 across the three days of the festival from 13th to 15th December.
DJ Lag’s closing set on Friday was praised by many for melding cultures through his pioneering style that features blasts of percussion, sharp rhythms and curious samples. He surprised the crowd with Benny Benassi’s ‘Satisfaction’ while he closed out the stage on the first day.
Tunisian DJ Deena Abdelwahed performed an ever-evolving back-to-back with Simo Cell on the first day as she filled in for Blawan, who had to drop out because of visa issues. Her solo set on the second day was highly praised for its innovative qualities.
Daniel Avery had the late night slot on Sunday as he closed out the stage for the night. He skirted the line between techno and industrial with pulsating sounds, even dropping ‘Closer’ by Nine Inch Nails into his set.
