Alejandro Galán's career on the World Padel Tour began after joining forces with Juan Cruz Belluati in 2016, with whom he achieved good results from the start, reaching their peak as a duo in 2017.
Partner change reaps rewards
Despite that excellent 2017 campaign, ‘Ale’ joined Matías Diaz for the 2018 season, while Belluati decided to partner with Juan Lebrón.
With Díaz they were regulars in the latter stages of the opening tournaments of the season, reaching the final in the Valladolid Open, where they defeated Maxi Sánchez and Sanyo Gutiérrez, which gave Galán his first title on the World Padel Tour.
Five tournaments later, at the Lugo Open, they repeated their triumph, beating Luciano Capra and Ramiro Moyano 6-0, 6-4.
In 2019, Galán began the season with Juani Mieres, with whom he won the Buenos Aires Padel Masters in Argentina, before another change in partners, starting at the Valencia Open, when he began playing alongside Pablo Lima, with whom he went on to win the title in Valencia.
A powerhouse partnership is born
In 2020, he formed a powerhouse partnership with Juan Lebrón, and together they ascended to the world number one ranking, a position they held through 2020, 2021 and 2022, dominating the World Padel Tour with numerous titles and consistent high-level performances.
Galán and Lebrón ultimately ended their long partnership in 2023, and Galán began playing with Argentine partner Federico Chingotto in 2024, forming a new duo often referred to by fans and media as “Chingalán.”
The rise of "Chingalán"
In the 2025 padel season, Alejandro Galán had one of the most consistently high-level years of his career and confirmed himself as one of the elite figures on the Premier Padel circuit. Playing primarily alongside Federico Chingotto, Galán and his partner were among the top ranked duos, finishing the season around third in the FIP rankings with over 17,000 points, behind only the dominant pair of Agustín Tapia and Arturo Coello.
