Dario 'Moonryde' Ferracci is one of Italy's most popular pro gamers, and one of the world's top pro Call of Duty: Warzone players. With his engaging personality and skill-set versatility, he's built a career as a streamer in parallel to his gaming career – as of early 2023 he can boast 620,000 followers on Twitch. He's passionate and dedicated, and credits his success to personal qualities of perseverance, seriousness and competitiveness.
Moonryde's passion for video games began early – in childhood – starting with Overboard! for PS1, then God of War, then landing on Twitch in 2015 with League of Legends, one of the titles with which he began his activity on the platform stream.
He signed to Fnatic, the global esports performance organisation, in 2021, and acknowledges that his success in growing his fanbase was helped by the support he received in the Fnatic Network, a grassroots programme for talented gamers, influencers and content creators.
His focus in the 2020s has been Call of Duty: Warzone, where he's built a loyal community of followers – he's one of the most followed content creators on the Italian YouTube gaming channel, La piattaforma viola. He strives to make his community accessible and engaging to everyone, keeping the audience entertained with his playing style and the crazy costumes he sometimes wears, and chatting with the fans. He has fun and he wants his audience to have fun too.
His strategy has paid off. Moonryde is on the crest of a wave with his own clothing line, a voice-over role in the Disney Pixar film Turning Red and a game he's been developing for several years, Temperia: Soul of Majestic, a card game inspired by the one featured in Final Fantasy VIII.
