In the space of a few years, Greg Callaghan has gone from living out of his customised van while self-funding his appearances at downhill mountain bike events to becoming Ireland’s only pro rider.
Growing up living in the shadow of the Dublin and Wicklow mountains, Callaghan’s spare time revolved around all two-wheel activities, with most weekends spent at mountain bike or motorbike races. It was no surprise to anyone that he took the path he did.
In the middle of the 2017 season, Callaghan's podium-topping performance in Portugal catapulted him to the top of the Enduro World Series rankings.
After that Callaghan continued impressing, and scored a series steady results in the Enduro World Series with Cube Action Team.
He also starred in Red Bull Foxhunt in Ireland alongside the likes of Gee Atherton and Loïc Bruni.
Callaghan moved to the Unior Devinci Factory Team for the 2020 season and aims to take his career to the next level when the pandemic situation eases.
