For Kameto, it all started with the discovery of StarCraft 2 and working odd jobs so he could afford a top-quality PC to play it on. Bewitched by gaming, Kamel became Kameto as a tribute to a beloved uncle who had passed away. Kameto laid the foundations for his future career by participating in his first competitions on League of Legends as a teenager.
A very active streamer, Kameto has made a name for himself on Twitch since joining in 2016 and created a free online radio station, Radio Sexe, in 2018. He participates in as many events as he can find time for – notable ones include Z Event, the annual three-day esports marathon in aid of charity, and leading the French troops as general in the PixelWars online game – as well as staging his own events, such as when he faced the Gotaga team on FIFA 19 on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower in 2019.
In 2019 Kameto formed his own esports team, Kameto Corp, which he took to the next level in 2020 when he founded Karmine Corp with rapper and gamer Amine 'Prime' Mekri. Kameto Corp went on to become the first to win the League of Legends European Masters three times in a row.
Kameto has become a key figure in esports and French Twitch. He was elected Man of the Year by GQ magazine in 2022 and signed with Red Bull the same year.
