Kay de Wolf has been viewed as a star of the future since bursting onto the motocross scene in 2018 when he became Dutch champion in the 85cc class and finished second in the FIM Junior World Championship.

For the 2019 season, Kay signed with Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing and made the move to the 125 class – competing in the EMX125 Championship. The Dutch rider enjoyed a memorable first season as he scored points in almost every round and ended the campaign in sixth place overall.
