Before excelling at the sport of skimboarding, Lucas Fink played football in Flamengo, Brazil. However, team sports don’t seem to sit well with his fierce independent spirit – he was often frustrated because he felt he worked a lot harder than others, and believed that others’ lack of effort compromised the team's chances for victory.
He'd enjoyed skimboarding since he was a child of seven when he got a board as a Christmas present, so he picked it up as a competitive sport and in 2009, at the age of 10, he began competing.
He is a Brazilian Professional Champion, South American Champion and World Champion and he became the first non-American to win the United Skim Tour overall title in 2019.
