MiLaysia 'Lay' Fulwiley is a hometown hero and rising star in women's basketball, playing in her backyard of Columbia and for one of the nation's most star-studded teams at the University of South Carolina.
Lay first showed interest in basketball on a toy hoop in her home before joining a children’s church league. She quickly advanced to play with the boys, priming her to make W.J. Keenan’s high school varsity team by just the seventh grade.
