Check out this amazing GoPro Uncut clip of Aaron Gwin taking his run at the Sea Otter Classic in Monterey, California this year. The sheer speed he is moving at will have you clinging to your seat as he powers down the course.
Although Gwin takes third in this race this is a great example of why he is the champion he is, you barely get a chance to hear the crowds cheering him on as he passes on his way to the finish.
Aaron Gwin dominated the UCI series in 2012 just winning race after race and inevitably taking the men’s title with Rachel Atherton showing the same form and taking the women’s title.
Frank Yohannan and Lou Rudolphin founded the Sea Otter Classic in 1991. Originally called the Laguna Seca Challenge, the event has grown in size from originally playing host to 350 athletes and 150 spectators to now attracting 9,000 athletes and 55,000 fans.
