Whilst the Premier League has some of the best players on FUT, a large number of them are overpriced due to the league’s popularity, so you may not be getting the best value for your coins by opting for a PL side. Serie A, on the other hand, is a goldmine. There are tons of great players going for a fraction of what they’d be if they were in the Premier League, so here’s a look at the best Serie A XI under 300k. Quick note: these prices are a guide, with the FUT market fluctuating all the time!

Goalkeeper

Wojciech Szczesny
Price: 2.6k coins
With Gianluigi Buffon now plying his trade at PSG, Szczesny has stepped up to become Juventus’ number one goalkeeper – boasting solid stats, the 28-year-old has also managed to become the best budget goalkeeper in Serie A on FUT.
You should always aim to take short goal kicks with Szczesny as his goal kick attribute is rated 71 and could cause you to send the ball flying back to your opponent more often than not. Thankfully, Szczesny’s kicking accuracy is the only downside to his card – with his reflexes and diving ability rated at 87 and 85 respectively, the Poland international is sure to make both routine and ‘impossible’ saves for your team, but like any goalkeeper on the game, he can’t save ‘em all.

Defenders

Kostas Manolas (CB)
Price: 13k coins
With 83 pace, Kostas Manolas is a must-have for Serie A teams.
80+ pace on a cheap centre-back is something of a rare phenomenon and the ones who do have it usually lack good physical stats – Manolas, though, is quick, strong and highly capable of cutting passing lanes, as his ability to intercept passes is rated 86, and goes up to 91 with an Anchor chemistry style.
For 13.5k coins, it’s fair to say you’d be getting a borderline elite defender in Manolas. It’s worth noting, though, that his passing isn’t the best, so always try to play it safe when Manolas is on the ball.
Leonardo Bonucci (CB)
Price: 18k coins
Bonucci is easily one of the best ball-playing defenders on the entire game. He might not have blistering pace, but he’s capable of passing the ball out of the back under pressure thanks to his high composure and passing stats thus making him an essential player for possession based teams.
The 31-year-old stands at 6’3, boasts 85 jumping, 90 interceptions and 90 marking, all of which allow him to thwart incoming attacks with relative ease, and accurately intercept threatening through balls and regular passes.
Alessandro Florenzi (RB)
Price: 6k coins
Florenzi is always a popular choice amongst FUT players due to his versatility. He might be a right-back, but he’s capable of being deployed as a central-midfielder or even a winger as a result of his expansive skillset.
He possesses decent pace, passing, physicality, shooting, and dribbling – he even has a 4-star skill rating which means he can execute skill moves such as Iniesta’s trademark La Croqueta, the heel-to-heel flick and the overpowered Berba spin.
With an Anchor chemistry style, he gets a +5 boost to his pace, a +9 boost to his defending and a +4 boost to his physicality thus allowing him to perform any type of defensive role excellently.
Aleksander Kolarov (LB)
Price: 5k coins
Put simply, Aleksander Kolarov is a brick wall in defence. He doesn’t have much pace, but he remains one of the most effective left-backs in the game given he’s great at passing the ball, a sublime free-kick taker and, of course, capable of stopping most attackers without breaking a sweat.
Kolarov’s low pace can be fixed with a shadow chemistry style which will give the Serbia international a +13 pace boost whilst also raising his defensive stats by 9 points, further strengthening his ability to protect the left flank.

Midfielders

Radja Nainggolan (CM)
Price: 79k coins
Nainggolan is by far the best box-to-box midfielder in Serie A. He’s a bit expensive but he’s worth every coin you’ll spend on him.
A key stat for central-midfielders is stamina – you need a CM that can play at near-full capacity towards the end of games, and Nainggolan can do just that, unless you spam constant pressure for the entire game.
He has great physicality, dribbling and pace. He also possesses high work rate which mean he tries to contribute going forward but also tracks back to aid his team defensively. For around 77k coins Nainggolan is one of the best players you can buy.
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (CM)
Price: 12k Coins
Sergej Milinkovic Savic, or SMS as he’s commonly referred to by FUT players, is arguably one of the best midfielders in Serie A.
He’s quite tall and lacks agility so don’t expect him to mesmerise you with nimble footwork – what he does superbly, though, is recover the ball after it’s been lost, shrug players off the ball easily as long as their name isn’t Lukaku or Gullit and find the back of the net from distance thanks to his high finishing stat.
SMS alongside Nainggolan is one of the most formidable midfield partnerships you can have with a relatively small budget; they’re both strong and highly physical thus making it hard for players to get past them.
Ivan Perisic (LM)
Price: 20k coins
It’s essential to get the ball on a player’s stronger foot before shooting or passing the ball with them in a bid to maximise their accuracy, with Perisic, though, you don’t need to worry about turning to get him on his stronger foot as he possesses a 5-star-weak foot which means he’s capable of striking the ball with the same output on both feet.
Perisic might be a left-midfielder but he’s capable of featuring as a striker, be it as a lone forward or in a partnership. His 5-star-weak foot saves you the hassle of worrying about taking a poor shot with his ‘other’ foot, and it adds an element of unpredictability to your game considering he can strike the ball at any moment in and around your opponent’s 18-yard-area.
Perisic’s base finishing stat isn’t the best (79), but with a sniper chemistry style it goes up to 94, whilst his dribbling also receives a significant boost.
SIF Suso (RM)
Price: 69k coins
Suso’s impressive displays for AC Milan this season have managed to bag him two In Form cards, the second of which makes him the best right-midfielder in Serie A. This makes him one of the more expensive players on this list but he 100 percent worth it.
The left-footer’s stand-out stats are his dribbling and passing, but he also possesses decent pace and shooting, both of which can be improved with a hunter chemistry style which will give him 93 pace and 89 shooting.

Strikers

Dries Mertens (ST)
Price: 57k coins
Mertens is one of the best strikers on the game. He lacks strength but he’s incredibly agile, rapid and is capable from scoring in the box as well as outside of it thanks to his great finishing and long shot stats.
The Belgium international also possesses decent passing stats thus allowing him to link-up with his strike partner or overlapping wingers and full-backs before utilising his superb attacking positioning stat to get into a great spot for an easy goal.
In a bid to maximise Mertens’ attacking potential you’ll need to avoid making contact with opposition players and instead aim to get around them by using his superb dribbling.
Ciro Immobile (ST)
Price: 25k coins
Over the past few seasons, Ciro Immobile has established himself as one of the best strikers in Europe, so it’s no surprise to see EA rating him accordingly, with impressive stats and an overall rating of 87.
The Italian marksman has 90 finishing and 80 long shots, making him lethal in and around the box. He’s also quite physical as he stands at 6’1 and possesses 76 strength.
He’s the perfect player to partner up with Mertens in attack as their skill sets complement each other nicely. With this team in place, you can take on all challengers.
