The Polish rider now lies joint top of championship standings after gritty display in Idaho.
Red Bull KTM rider Taddy Blazusiak took the overall victory on Saturday night in Boise, Idaho at the penultimate round of the 2013 AMA EnduroCross Series. Blazusiak’s victory puts him on equal points in the championship standings with FMF KTM rider Mike Brown, who was heading the table when the riders arrived in Idaho.
Brown takes holeshot
After making it through to the final via the Last Chance Qualifier, it was Brown who took the holeshot when the gate dropped at the start of the main event. But as has happened so often this year, Blazusiak was right behind and hunting the American rider down.
When Brown got stuck on a rock on the first lap, both Blazusiak and Cody Webb managed to slip by, with the two riders then getting stuck into wheel-to-wheel fight as they duked it out for the lead.

The tussle came to a head when Webb edged Blazusiak off the track at one point. But never one to be outdone for long, Blazusiak took his revenge when Webb dropped his bike going through the tricky wood chip section, with Blazusiak passing to take the lead. From then, the Polish rider dished out the traditional Taddy Blazusiak masterclass in steely, meticulous riding, finishing a full seven seconds ahead of Webb by the time the chequered flag dropped.
Behind the leaders, there was more bad luck for Brown as he stalled his bike with three laps to go, allowing Colton Haaker to make it past, with Brown eventually finishing in fourth.
Blazusiak and Brown now head into the final round at Las Vegas on November 23rd with 130 points apiece, a 20-point advantage over Webb.
