After taking everything that the 2016 edition of the Dakar Rally had to throw at them, we've got some incredible footage of the cars from the 2016 race.

The very best of the action from the cars at the 2016 Dakar Rally.

Sébastien Loeb was a sensation in the early stages, winning three of the four stages proper on his debut, before Stéphane Peterhansel, Carlos Sainz and Nasser Al-Attiyah stepped up to challenge for victories.
Another rookie, Mikko Hirvonen, also won a chapter of the 2016 Dakar, as Peterhansel was crowned champion for a sixth time on four wheels – his 12th Dakar title in total.
Al-Attiyah and Giniel de Villiers accompanied the Frenchman onto the podium after an action-packed 14 days of driving.
