Daniil Kvyat tries bobsleigh before the Russian GP

Watch Daniil Kvyat try bobsleigh around Sochi before the Russian Grand Prix.

As Daniil Kvyat prepares for his home Formula One round at the Russian GP this weekend, he had an extra special experience he's unlikely to forget any time soon.
The 22-year-old headed to the Sanki Sliding Center near the F1 circuit at Sochi to join up with the Russian national bobsleigh team to get a feel for the winter sport, and had a unique lowdown on what the sport involves.
Check out the above video to see Kvyat get a taste for a different kind of speed.
"It was good to get a little bit closer to the sport," said Kvyat. "There are some similarities with Formula One, there is a lot of aerodynamic work that goes into the design of the bobsleighs and the speed they can generate on a very tight track is very cool."
Instead of a 1600cc turbo-charged Tag Heuer engine, the sleds relies on gravity, but can pull up to 5G when they hit corners, and can reach speeds of up to 200kph – sensations Kvyat isn't unfamiliar with in his own day job.
